Euology I read for my Nanny

Yesterday I received the phone call that I knew one day would come, but could never fully prepare for... My Nanny has passed away.

Growing up in the large family I have, I have always taken notice that Nanny has always been the glue that held our family close... & even taught each one of us what family truly meant. I will never forget all the family gatherings & birthdays that we had with Nanny @ her house & the church. The times that all the family from Florida & all the family from Georgia came together to see each other & create all the close bonds we have. Nanny, even up until yesterday, has always had a way of making us come together. She was the most strong-willed & stubborn woman who truly had the best heart, intentions, & more faith than anyone I know. She is missed by us all but we all carry her characteristics inside of us & she will walk w/ us everyday, this I firmly believe.

I just hope my Nanny knows that I would not be the woman, wife, or mother I am today if her & Granny Mary had not had such a huge influence & impact in my life. They are my heroes & I can only hope to be as strong them & have half their wisdom as I continue to grow older.

Nanny, we love you & we will always miss you but I'm glad you're no longer suffering & are finally @ peace. I know you'll still be watching over us.
